We are in the historic centre, less than 200 metres from the entrance of the Pompeii Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The train station is 5 minutes on foot: from here, the Circumvesuviana reaches Naples in half an hour and Sorrento in 40 minutes. The Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary is a 3-minute walk away.

The crater sits at 1,281 metres. Panoramic trail to the summit with views over the Bay of Naples. You can reach it by shuttle from the ruins or drive to Herculaneum and take a local bus from there.

Smaller than the Pompeii ruins but with intact roofs, wooden fittings and frescoes still in place. Plan 2-3 hours. It makes a good second stop after Pompeii.

Worth dedicating a full day. The National Archaeological Museum (MANN) holds the originals of many Pompeii frescoes. Half an hour to get there, by train or by car.

The Piazza della Vittoria overlook, Marina Piccola harbour, restaurants and limoncello. The hydrofoils to Capri leave from here as well.

The Circumvesuviana from Naples Porta Nolana or Garibaldi, direction Sorrento: about 36 minutes, get off at Pompei Scavi-Villa dei Misteri. Then 5 minutes on foot. By car via A3 it's around thirty minutes, traffic permitting.
Yes, private and closed, inside the property. Free until the 10:00 check-out. If you need longer, just ask: we usually keep it until 18:00.
Less than 200 metres from the Porta Marina entrance. A two-minute walk.
20 minutes by car. Otherwise there's a shuttle that leaves from the ruins car park and climbs to the crater parking (then another 20 minutes on foot). If you prefer, we can arrange a private transfer.
Roughly one hour to Positano and Amalfi. For that stretch we recommend the SITA Sud bus from Sorrento station, or a private driver: curves and parking make self-driving less practical.
Yes. 40 minutes to Sorrento, then hydrofoil (20-25 minutes). Leaving early you'll be back by evening without trouble.
